Yoga For Hockey Players

Hockey Yoga: Hips

Before we get to the price, consider that if you were to go to a local Yoga class it would cost you between $10-$20 PER CLASS (sometimes higher if it's a sport specific yoga class)...

And if you were doing these yoga classes just once per week during the hockey off-season you'd be looking at anywhere between $200-$500 depending on the length of your off-season...

And these are just your regular, non-hockey specific yoga classes.

With the Hockey Yoga program, you are receiving a full 3-video series with hockey specific yoga routines that were designed to help you become a better hockey player!

And you can do anytime you'd like, from home or anywhere you'd like to do them!

This professionally designed hockey yoga program won't cost you in the $300-$400 range you'd expect to pay for going to live, non-hockey specific yoga classes though...

It won't even cost you $200...

Nope, it isn't even $100!

The full 3-Video Hockey Yoga Program is just $47!

Yup, just $47 - less than what you'd expect to pay for just ONE month of live yoga classes at your local yoga facility!

The hips are arguably this most often “tight spot” found in hockey players across the board. Hockey players spend the entire game in hip flexion (meaning, bent over slightly at the hips) – but then most of us also spend our entire lives in hip flexion simply through the amount of sitting we all do for hours every day.

This perpetual hip flexion results in tightness’s that manifest themselves as pain in the knees, groin, hips, and lower back. It doesn’t take an expert to tell you that that will have a direct negative impact on your speed, mobility, agility, technique, and overall injury risk.

This hockey yoga workout was designed to loosen tight hips, improve range of motion, improve circulation of the lower body, and alleviate back pain.

Once you become consistent with this, you will see a direct translation over to your speed, conditioning, agility, mobility, and overall pain reduction.

Hockey Yoga: Shoulders

The shoulders are one of the most common areas for hockey players to hold stress. Many people unconsciously remain in a slightly “shrugged” position all day due to either psychological stress, structural changes from sitting at a desk all day, spending too much time behind the wheel, and of course – playing hockey for many years without ever emphasizing shoulder release.

Yoga poses that focus on the shoulders are an excellent way for hockey players to release this tension and improve their overall upper body mobility to improve shot power, reduce pain, and reduce future injury risk.

This hockey yoga workout works on the muscles that hockey players have major issues within their shoulders/upper body and can be a great way to improve both your off-ice training productivity and your on-ice performance.

Hockey Yoga: Core

Think you need to do a bunch of sit-ups to create well-rounded core development?

Think again.

This quick but intense hockey yoga workout will train your abdominals, obliques, glutes, lower back, and all of the “inside-out” core muscles that we can’t see but still play a major role in power development and core stability out on the ice.

Like you can expect from a yoga program, this workout will be great for your overall mobility. But, with the core emphasis in this particular design, you are working towards having great control and stability in your athletic movements without the risk of strain or injury.

The problem with many hockey athletes is that they focus on everything except the core, but this is a dangerous pathway to take. When your limbs are too strong for your core, you put your spine and hips in a really vulnerable position as they won’t be able to keep you stable during explosive movements.

You can think about it like shooting a cannon out of a canoe, the stability won’t be able to hold you, and something will have to give – and for you, that means injury.

Use this quick workout prevent injury and build up your core so you can more efficiently express power out on the ice.

I'm In!  What's The Cost?

Would you do anything (within reason) to become a better hockey player?

I know I would, and if you are reading this page I can bet that you want to be one of the best players every time you step out on the ice too, right?

If you haven't noticed yet, more and more NHL players are incorporating Yoga into their off-season (and in-season) routines.

When you think of yoga you may not think of strong, powerful hockey players, but there are many reasons why pro hockey players all around the world are practicing yoga to improve their on-ice performance...

Here are a few of the hockey specific benefits that yoga has for hockey players:

  • Improvement in Balance (great for skating)

  • Improvement in Mobility and Flexibility (also great for long, fluid skating strides)

  • A Reduction in Mental and Physical Stress + Anxiety

  • A Reduction in Total Body Inflammation (important for hockey performance)

  • Improvement in Breathing Capacity (more oxygen means less time to catch your breath between shifts)

  • Improvement in Sleep Quality (better recovery, more testosterone production)

  • Improvement in Pain Symptoms (less pain = more/better hockey training, less missed games)

The best hockey players in the world are doing Yoga, and the scientific literature shows why it is beneficial for hockey players, so I think we can agree that Yoga is something that hockey players should be doing...

"But I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to Yoga!"

Don't worry, you aren't alone...

Most hockey players, when starting Yoga, have no idea how to do yoga, what to expect, or which classes to choose that will help them with their hockey performance...

Not to mention it can be intimidating going to a Yoga class with a bunch of experienced "Yogis"!

This is why we've teamed up with a great Yoga instructor and put together a full, follow along Hockey Yoga Program that you can do from the comfort of your own home, with no equipment needed!

This is a full body 3-video Yoga series for hockey players that can be done from home!

We provide a full video routine with instruction and audio so that you can listen and watch while you follow along and do the yoga practice with us - just like you were live at a yoga class!

The videos are streamed or downloaded from the member's area, allowing you to follow along at any time and anywhere you'd like.

And instead of performing a random Yoga practice that is designed for the general population, these yoga practices are designed specifically for hockey players!
