When I was younger, hockey was everything to me. But no matter how much effort I put in, I just couldn't seem to reach the next level.

Year after year, I watched teammates and friends move up while I stayed stuck. After being cut from my local AAA team for the fifth straight year, I hit rock bottom.

I still remember walking into that coach's room, stomach tight, hands shaking. And then hearing those words: "We're going with other guys this year." It was gut-wrenching. I never let myself cry in front of them, but I wanted to. It crushed me.

I started doubting myself, thinking things like, "Maybe hockey just isn't my thing."

Looking back now, I'm grateful for that moment.

Not because things turned around right away. They didn't. After that fifth year of getting cut, I kind of gave up on the dream. I still played, but I wasn't really pushing myself anymore.

Meet Your New Hockey Trainer

Speed Stack™ and this Off-Season Domination '25 Training Program were created by Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach, Tim Lebbossiere.

Tim is in his fourth season as the Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach following three seasons as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the minor league affiliate, the Providence Bruins. 

He graduated in 2016 with a BS in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College and in 2019 with an MS in Human Performance from Lindenwood University. 

Before his time with the Bruins organization, Tim also spent time with University of Massachusetts Lowell, Quinnipiac University, College of the Holy Cross, and USA Hockey working with their hockey programs.
